What’s the story?

FLAIM Systems partners with FRSA to distribute mixed reality fire and safety training solutions across Australia and New Zealand.

Why it matters

The partnership expands access to immersive training that helps firefighters and safety professionals build critical skills in safe environments.

XR industry context

The partnership shows XR’s growing role in emergency response and high-risk training scenarios, with mixed reality enabling safe to fail virtual environments.

FLAIM Systems, a provider of mixed reality (MR) immersive learning solutions for high-risk fire and HAZMAT incident training, has recently announced a sales and distribution partnership with Fire Rescue Safety Australia (FRSA), a provider of emergency response solutions and technical services across the Asia Pacific region.

Under the agreement, FRSA will promote, sell, and support FLAIM’s MR training technology across Australia and New Zealand. The partnership aims to expand access to immersive training environments that allow firefighters and safety professionals to develop critical skills in virtual simulations, supporting workforce readiness for incidents and emergencies.

“We’re very excited to welcome FRSA into our global partner network,” said Simon Miller, Managing Director of FLAIM Systems. “Their experience, reputation and customer first culture serving the fire and emergency services sector make them our ideal partner to expand our customer reach in the ANZ region.”

Mick Richards, Managing Director at FRSA, commented: “FLAIM’s technology is uniquely positioned to complement the traditional training methods our customers use. They have a portfolio of 180 training scenarios that significantly increases the capacity of high-risk incident training to our 500+ regional customers. Since FLAIM commenced in 2020 we have witnessed growing interest in their solutions and are excited to partner with them as they continue to mature and grow”

FRSA will showcase FLAIM’s technology this week at AFAC 2025 in Perth, Australia (August 26–29), where attendees can trial immersive training applications for firefighting and workplace fire safety.
